LuCkY ChArMs DoEsn't MaTtEr, but ReViEwIng MatTerS

The time has already come. We are counting the days before Periodical test, the First Periodical Test for all the students of Ilocos Sur National High School. The students are handling books and notebooks to Xerox it and some are already reviewing. Me? What have I’ve done before, during and after the Periodical Test?

Before the Periodical Test, what I’ve done is that I’ve reviewed my notes, I read and read and read and understand all the lessons from the beginning up to the last. We have enough time to review because there are no classes for three days. I spent those days computing mathematical equations, memorizing different personalities, processes, names of persons, equations and many more. My head is just like to be broken because of so many things to be reviewed. In the morning of Monday, I have my rest and I refreshed my mind. I didn’t have my review because they said that I must avoid reviewing an hour before the test. In the afternoon, I’m very nervous because it’s the first day of the Periodical Test. I’m thinking of what kind of test do our teachers gave, is it easy, just an average or the difficult one. During the first day of our Periodical Test, what I’ve done is that I buy candies and chewing gums because one of our teachers said that during test, there is I better result of the test if the students will chew gums because they could think better an I’ve done it (in fairness effective ). For me I’ve considered those candies as lucky charms and hoping that those will be the key so that I will get high scores in the test(depends if you reviewed or not) hehehehe. In the next day, I still reviewed in the evening but in the morning, we heard in the radio that there is no classes due to typhoon Karen. In the next day, we have the dry run for the NCAE (National Career Assessment Examination). I’ve learned that this Examination will help us in choosing the right course when we enter in college. Our adviser reviewed us and we enjoyed. Saturday, we continued our PT. As usual I have again my “ lucky charms”, my candies. The subjects in the second day is more on memorization. As I answer the questions, I chew Gums. It’s quite hard but there are also some which are just easy.

After the PT, we checked the papers and its nice because the results are not that very low, its just an average and I know that those are the fruits of what I have reviewed. PT have just finished but still ther is still another test, the NCAE. Honestly speaking I didn’t review even though I have a reviewer, Why?because most of us are just taking it for granted because I know that even though I get high or low, I will still be the one to choose what course I will take. The question is that did I've done right? During the NCAE, I forgot to buy my "lucky charm". How is that?, then while taking the test, I was shocked because some of the items given are in my reviewer. My gush, that is the fruit of my lazyness's. Is it because I did not bring my lucky charm? I regret but it was too late. I find the test in the verbal type very difficult because I'm not good in vocabulary and simply the reason that I did not review. Some are just okay because we have already taken it during the past years.I learned that lucky charms doesn't matter but reviewing matters.

For the Next Grading, I will start the Grading Right.,.,. and I will take those test not for granted,.,.
