My Semestral Break

Semestral Break have just finished and classes have already started. Semestral Break is a one of the most awaited week this October because its a time for us to have a break. But what did I have done during the semestral break.

Even though its Semestral Break, it doesn't mean that i just stayed at our house and do what I want but instead I attended Seminars to gain more knowledge and information.

The first seminar I attended is a two-day Seminar, The Children’s Month Celebration, where I learned the Children’s Rights , about the kinds of Child Abuses and many more. This Seminar is very enjoyable because for the first time, we acted as parents of our adopted child. The child we adopted named Chloe is a very “pasaway” boy but then its just OK for us because we understand that he’s a child. At first he don’t want to leave his mother but then after all the jokes and encouragement we’ve done, he then joined us. This Seminar have gave us many lessons.

After that seminar we attended again a three-day Seminar, which is The Dove. Here we learned about journalism, the kinds of news, how to write a good news, photography, Editorial cartooning and many more. It’s a very nice Seminar for we learned so much. After this Seminar, then came the All Saint's Day and the All Soul's Day.

All Saint's Day and the All Soul's Day is the day where we remember our loved ones whom already passed away. I didn't go to Cemetery. as our tradition, we cook foods and we lighted candles in a table and together with those foods, it were served in our table.

During November 2, 2008, we went to the cemetery to visit the tomb of our relatives who have already passed away …During this days, what I’ve done is to sleep early because most of the features of the program of the television is horror and I’m not fun of watching those horrors so I just sleep early….After this, I again prepared for the classes….Back to school again….Its again the start of the next Grading Period….

Radar

One of the most unforgettable experience in my life is my experience in Radar. Yes, this experience is very enjoyable, not because its my first time but because climbing the Radar is such a great accomplishment.

All of us are very excited during the day of the hike out, and while we are travelling , we are thinking what is the view at the top of that mountain and can we climb that mountain and so on and so forth. When we already started to walk, then it became more exciting. I and my friends are laughing and joking but then we have noticed that the distance from where we started walking up to the foot of the mountain we will going to climb is very far. Because of that before we started climbing we are already tired. Its very hard to climb, after more or less than ten steps we are drinking and having our rest. But then we still continued climbing. There are part which is muddy and steeper and its very hard to climb in those parts. Until there is a time that I'm already giving up because of the tiredness I feel.I'm thinking that if I will be already at the top of the mountain, I will be lazy already to go down. Because of tiredness, I and my friends didn't climb together, there are those who climb first and last. But because of my determination to reach the top, I continued it. I think of the consequences I already experienced as I started climbing it so I continued it. Until we met men giving us jokes who are also going up there. But then they go fist because I and my friends are easily get tired. After an hour, we asked if we are already near but then the man said that we didn't yet reach the half of it so still we continued walking. We walked in many ways like backward walk and we find it effective, until we already reach the half. We walked and walked until we reached the part where there is no tree, It's very hot over there but then because of tiredness, we still eat our merienda there. Some said that we are already near so we continued walking. It's very hard and because of that I am thinking that this is just like a "Death March". Until we reached the top of the Radar, some are already there and I saw my friends having their merienda but still it's not yet over because we are still going to plant the mahogany plant. After planting the mahogany plant, we go back there where some of my friends are having their rest. Then, comes the others, they are still arriving and together with them are some of my friends. After we have our rest, we eat our lunch and after that, we enjoyed the beautiful view up there. I am very thankful because after all the hardships of climbing, finally I reached the top of Radar. I enjoyed watching the view and of course, we also have picture taking. As I enjoy the view, I remember the hardships of climbing the top of it. After that, we started going down and while walking I found a lost Boyscout Handkerchief. I discovered that going down is four times easier than walking up. If it takes climbing up more than five hours, going down just takes more or less than an hour. Its very enjoyable until we finally reached the place where we started climbing. I learned many things from this experience. I'm very happy and proud because a girl like me which is alreadygiving up havereach the top of Radar.

As I see the Radar from a distance, Im very proud that that I already reached the top of that mountain.......
